Sondra Williamson

A veteran journalist, skilled researcher and gifted writer, Sondra Williamson founded Paradigm/Shift in 1998 after working for decades in and around the Texas Legislature and on the staffs of high-profile public relations, lobbying, and real estate development firms. Immediately prior to establishing Paradigm/Shift, she was a writer and public relations consultant on the staff of Bill Miller, co-founder of the largest, most successful lobby firm in Texas, HillCo Partners. Attorneys in some of the nation’s leading law firms and have engaged Sondra to interview clients, write blog posts and magazine articles publicizing successful cases, develop persuasive discovery materials, prepare expert testimony, and pen compelling opening statements and closing arguments for trial. She has also written awards submissions for prestigious attorneys such as Pat McGroder of Phoenix.
In all endeavors, one of Sondra’s key strengths is her ability to present complex issues in a simple, straightforward way that establishes a personal connection with the audience and drives key points home.
In 2019, Sondra collaborated closely with Austin communications guru Jeff Hahn on Breaking Bad News, providing in-depth research, writing, and editing for his book about crisis communications in the food industry. In 2016, she worked with legendary Texas trial lawyer David Perry to develop Things I Want to Tell You, a deeply personal memoir to his grandchildren. In 2014 and 2015, Sondra edited a book about birth injuries for the renowned Baltimore trial attorney, Howard Janet. In 2000, she coauthored Start With A Laugh with the late Liz Carpenter, former press secretary to Lady Bird Johnson.
Before establishing Paradigm/Shift, Williamson was a writer and public relations consultant on the staff of Bill Miller, cofounder of HillCo Partners.
